Founders Background

Laurence Waldhausen obtained his Engineering Electrician Red Seal Trade Test at Toyota South Africa in 2013.

Following this, he further advanced his qualifications by obtaining his 3-Phase Wireman’s License, enabling him to operate as a Professional Electrical Inspector and legally certify electrical installations as per SANS 10142-1 standards, ensuring compliance with South African electrical regulations and safety requirements.

Journey to Establishment

In 2014, Laurence moved to Johannesburg to expand his expertise in the electrical industry. After three years of accumulating invaluable experience, he founded Volthouse Electrical in 2016, with a vision to deliver superior electrical solutions.

Expansion and Adaptation

By 2018, Volthouse Electrical shifted its base to Limpopo, focusing on fiber-to-the-business (FTTx) installations in Musina and Tzaneen to enhance enterprise connectivity. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a strategic pivot towards solar PV systems, electrical installations, and energy solutions, adapting to the rising demand for sustainable power alternatives.

Today, Volthouse Electrical is recognized for its commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative, and energy-efficient solutions. Specializing in solar energy, electrical installations, and backup power systems, the company ensures that both homes and businesses enjoy reliable power, encapsulated by our motto: Powering the Future, One Installation at a Time!
